The motorcycle rental shop provides full face helmets and motorcycle jackets for rent with your bike. I will also rent you a Cardo comms unit so we can communicate while we ride.

I usually ride with helmet, mesh motorcycle jacket and gloves, jeans and sturdy shoes or boots. I also always carry a rain jacket or poncho during this season, as there is a chance we hit rain.

Expect warm temps with cool breezes in the day around 80 F / 27 C. When night falls, temps can drop down to 60 F / 15 C.

Yes, we’ll have down time each afternoon and evening where you can catch up on work. Additionally, Wednesday afternoon will be cut out entirely for free time so you can catch up then.

If you need to take a call or handle something urgent at any time, you can do so and catch up with the group using the itinerary. Every stop is detailed out in the itinerary.

The hotels we’ve chosen have fast wifi speeds, and with a local SIM or eSIM (via Airalo app) in your phone you’ll get 4G/5G speeds anywhere in the country.

However, we recommend blocking out this time to be as present as possible with the group. That’s how you’ll get the most out of this ride.

Every applicant is first vetted through an application read by our team. If they pass that round, we get on a call with them to learn more about their business, skillset, and challenges. Only if they are making $100k annually and have thought-out challenges to discuss and nuggets to contribute do we allow them to join the mastermind ride.

To legally ride in Thailand you need an international driving permit - the fine is 500 baht (~$15 USD) if you are caught without one.

Lack of international driver's permit stamped for motorcycles or local Thai license for motorcycles might mean your insurance won't cover you in the event of a crash. Know the risk you're taking here and ride safe!

Depending on the passport(s) you hold, you may or may not need a visa. Many countries get 30 days on arrival in Thailand, which is plenty to do this ride. Check with your government’s embassy in Thailand for more information.

Everyone on this ride will be vetted to ensure they're high-level entrepreneurs making at least 6-figures in revenue annually.

This mastermind is meant to bring you variety, which is almost guaranteed with this small group format. What you need are completely novel perspectives on your problems - you won’t get that from your direct peers.

Those fresh perspectives from people in dissimilar situations are exactly what you need to break through the issues you’re facing.

You need to come prepared to play all out, meaning you will openly share ideas, support, contacts, and feedback with the group. You can keep your proprietary business info to yourself, but that’s it.

You also need to be running your own business at making at least $100,000 per year in revenue, and be able to competently ride a motorized ~150cc automatic scooter in Thailand.

We recommend you take an hour before we set off to review where you're at with your business so far and what your goals are over the next 12 months. List out where you’re stuck and what's going well. All of this will be valuable starting points during mastermind sessions and informal discussions on this ride.

Also, be sure you can ride a 500cc motorcycles on Thailand’s roads. This is a leisure ride, not a race, but you should be able to handle your machine. Thailand’s roads are often windy and small by Western standards, so we’ll average speeds of 40-80 mph / 60-120 kph.

The Ride of Passage Mastermind is all inclusive: your motorcycle rental, luxury hotel rooms, three meals per day, and all activities come with your ticket. Alcohol, snacks, gifts, massages and other amenities you may want along the way are not included.

Masterminds are simple yet powerful. We use a 'hot seat' format where each entrepreneur gets a full hour to work through their business problems with the help of the entire group. Whereas most masterminds are a marathon done in a day or two, we break up masterminds over the entire trip so fatigue doesn't set in and hurt our focus as a group.

Absolutely. All we ask is that you both have different problems you’re trying to solve to keep the group discussion as varied as possible.

If you're bringing a romantic partner who will ride on your motorcycle and not participate in the mastermind, they can come for free. Please let our team know ahead of time.

The Ride of Passage community is built on a foundation of trust; the more we trust each other, the more we can grow through these shared adventures. The more open you are on this ride, the more value you get out of it. If you only speak in vague terms about what you’re working on, the other participants can only give you vague help. That said, how private you want to be about your life and businesses is entirely up to you.

Hello! This is Evan, the founder of the Ride of Passage. My team has extensive experience guiding tours around Thailand, and we work with all Tourism Authority of Thailand tour guides and companies as local partners.

Our team has extensive cross-cultural experience both in the Western world and in Thailand, so we can bridge the gap for you in to this foreign world. Our facilitators for the mastermind are also entrepreneurs in their own right with experience running personal growth and networking workshops at top-tier American universities.

We've personally tested the locations for this ride and weighed them against many other options to ensure we're picking the absolute best hotels, restaurants, and cafes for this ride.

Our ride leader will have preparations in place to make sure first aid and medical services are accessible if necessary. You will be required to sign a waiver releasing the Ride of Passage of liability and you will need your own medical insurance. You are ultimately responsible for your own safety on this ride. If you are deemed a danger to other riders at any point on the trip you may be removed from the ride without refund.

The possibility of bad weather in Chiang Mai during this season is very low, however we do have contingency plans in place to move around the schedule so we can avoid riding in the rain. There’s always a chance we get caught in a shower while on the road, but a $1 poncho will keep you dry.

We understand that plans change when you’re living the lifestyle of a nomadic entrepreneur. So if you cancel up to 60 days before your trip’s departure, we’ll give you a full refund. If you find someone to take your seat, we’ll even lock in the price you paid for next year’s trips (prices will go up next year).
